Atlantic Division

The Atlantic division will be one that may be the most evenly matched, and unpredictable. Most teams are quite balanced, with each their own strengths. They could all have a high ceiling, or a low floor. I have a feeling this division will come down to the final week of the season, but I have no idea who will come out on top, as I can see any team taking the title.



Atlanta Aliens
Offense: poor
Defense: good
Overall: average
The offense is going to struggle for Atlanta this season, but the defense will keep them in games. This is going to be a ball control type of team. They will methodically try to string together long drives, but that means touchdowns come at a premium. Fortunately, the defense is going to keep other teams from scoring too many points, so Atlanta will be in some close games with a chance to pull games out at the end.



Carolina Reapers
Offense: average
Defense: average
Overall: average
The Reapers out performed their expectations going into last season, taking the division title, and winning a playoff game. Coming into this season, they on paper, have the weakest team in the division, but with this division being so close, they can easily win the division title again this season. The defense should be solid, but it’s the offense that will be of concern. Overall all, this is an average team, so out of division matchups are going to be important to win, along with divisional games.



Jacksonville Captains
Offense: average
Defense: average
Overall: average
The Captains were a disappointment last season, coming in with high expectations, but injuries on both sides of the ball did them in. If this team can stay healthy, they can compete. Jacksonville may be an unpredictable team this season. How the games turn out in close games, might determine where they end up this season in the division race. Divisional wins will be key, and this team should be able to compete against any team in this division.



Miami Sol
Offense: average
Defense: average
Overall: average
Miami is again an average looking team. Last season, it was heartbreaking losses that really did this team in. Many close games, but the Sol seemed to end up on the wrong side of these games more often than not. These kind of games will be crucial again this season. This division is up for grabs, and the Sol have a team that can win it. All games in this division expect to be close, grind it out kind of games. Miami may have the best offense in the division, so they will need to use it to try and pull away from teams, rather than ending up in tight finishes.
